Dare to Shine was created during one of the most pivotal times in my life. As a mother of two
young boys, navigating divorce and the uncertainty of the early days of COVID, I suddenly
found myself with more time than I was used to. With that stillness came thoughts that began to
spiral in ways that didn’t feel positive or grounding. I needed an outlet. I needed a moment of
connection — so I began lighting candles.
What started as a simple act of comfort soon became a source of strength, clarity, and peace.
During moments when it felt difficult to take action or move forward, I discovered that setting an
intention before lighting a candle created a powerful shift within me. That small ritual became my anchor during a time of deep change. It helped me reconnect to hope, to purpose, and to the
belief that I could keep going.
I knew I wanted to share that experience with others.
From that vision, Dare to Shine was born
I had no background in business or product creation. Starting this brand required me to step into
the unknown — to dare. That is where the name Dare to Shine came from.
Through this journey, I realized that in life we must dare in order to truly shine.
